My Boys!

Everything is going great at the Masters' household. McClain is really warming up to his baby bubba and likes to "hold it" now! It only lasts about 2 minutes then he is off to do his own thing again. Max is sleeping great. I have to wake him in the middle of the night, just because we are trying to get him back up to his birth weight, then Dr said that we can let him sleep until he is ready to eat! I can't believe how lucky we have been with both our boys! McClain is going to the babysitter for a few hours during the day so he can get back in the routine, be around some kids, and so we can give Max some one on one time that every newborn deserves! Too bad he sleeps through it all! Here are some pics of my boys...

McClain is such a goofy kid. Here is his serious face...
It makes me laugh so hard!

Welcome Max Travis Masters!

We added our 3rd MTM to the Masters family. Max Travis Masters entered the world on 7.18.09 at 3:07pm. Our little guy was weighed in at 8lbs 15oz and 18 3/4inches. I had my scheduled induction on Saturday at 6am. We got settled in at 7ish in the Labor and Delivery. By the time they finally found my veins and got me hooked up to the with the IV for the Pitocin and Saline it was close to 8. Dr Nilson (who was awesome by the way) came in around 8:30 and said that he would do me a favor and make me comfortable before he broke my water. So we got set for the epidural, which took place about 9:30. My water broke on its own around 10. I kind of slowed down from there, but by 2:30 we were ready to go! It took less than 30 minutes and 5 pushes before Max made his appearance. He came out with a full head of dark hair and squinty eyes like his Momma! It was quite painless and so much easier than his big bubba McClain. We stayed the minimum 24hrs so we could get back to our McClain and start the adjusting period.
Max has since dropped to 8lb 3oz and has been battling Jaundice. He had a tanning bed (like McClain did when he came home from the hospital) from Monday to Thursday night. McClain had a little bit of an adjusting period, mixed in with growing 4 teeth and away from Mommy and Daddy for 24hrs. Now that it has been a week, McClain is becoming a great big bubba. Most of the time he doesn't really acknowledge that Max is around, but when he does he is very sweet and tries to be "easy"! He loves to look at him in the crib and give him his paci and horsey. Every time the paci is not in Max's mouth and Mc finds it he says "whoops" and gives it back to him. I think he thinks it is called a "whoops" because we say that when it falls out of Max's mouth. It's very cute and sweet.
Anyways, we are all adjusting and loving our new addition. Life with two lil boys is already overwhelmed me in so many ways, but I am sooooo anxious to see what is ahead.
Here are a few pictures of this weeks adventure.....

Last Days as a Family of Three

McClain had no idea what we were referring to when we said that his baby bubba Max was on his way. He referred to everyone's belly as "Maps". It was so cute! We were able to enjoy several memorable moments with McClain before I went into the hospital for induction. Here are a few pictures from our last days as a family of 3:

We got out of the house as much as possible to distract me from being sooo preggo and to get Daddy Daycare some extra help in the evenings!

Jesse, who McClain absolutely LOVES, put Uncle Chris' big black boots (think they were from his time in USMC, hopefully not something out of his closet!) It was hillarious. He acted like it was no big deal that he had huge shoes on and couldn't take more than a few steps. He can entertain us for hours!

We have had so much help preparing for Max. McClain loved all the company and really didn't understand what was going on but wanted to be in the mix at all times. Here he is helping PaPa, Uncle Jon, and Daddy set up the crib in Max's room.

This is his "silly face"

This is the orneriest lil boy ever! Notice the knot on his eyebrow...it was a casuality of moving his furniture to Max's new room.

Helping Daddy wash the TB!

4th of July...Uncle Chris, Cousin Dallas, Jacob, Aunt Amy, Katie, and Jacob were setting off fireworks. McClain said it was "sceerry", which was weird cause we hadn't even taught him that word?!

More of the 4th activities...The Rainwaters came over to hangout. McClain and Cade played with the guys in the sprinkler.

McClain's "Fip Fops" often end up in between his second and third toe! HaHa!

The day before Baby Max was scheduled to arrive...Daddy and Mc did all the yard work. McClain LOVES to "seep"

WELCOME!!

I started this blog as a continuation of McClain's blog at http://kcmasters.googlepages.com/mcclainthomas. Since we have added Max to our family I decided that a new blog for our whole family was needed. I will post pics and updates as I have time. I have already noticed that the time that I had while McClain was a newborn does not exist this time around! In the end this is a good thing because it only means I am spending every moment with my boys. Hope you all enjoy and please comment your thoughts!!
