OU Texas

Well we just ran out of Sooner Magic! As always, we had an awesome time in Dallas, however, the game was too stressful for me and my ulcer and did not produce the outcome we desired. Poor Sam got hurt again and we just didn't have enough magic to pull off the W. Despite the loss, we had a blast with our friends and family. You can tell by these pics, just look....

Friday night. Chris and Amy were waiting in line for their tickets, we didn't leave them ;)

Gators. Its becoming our Friday OU/TX night tradition.

Pregame at the fair. Mike was pumped because he got 2 Heisman autos this trip. Jason White's at a tailgate stop on the way down hwy 75 and Steve Owens at the fair.

Chris got one, too

This the only game pic I like. The others bring bad memories, but I love the divide of that horrible burnt orange and beautiful crimson!

Our pity party....

We got the hookup on sweet suites all weekend. There was happy hour aka FREE drinks for an hour each evening. We just made it back from the game in time...

We ventured out to a sports bar called Ten. We had to be nearby a TV for Jon to watch the Cowboys and for us all to see ARod be the hero once again!

The bar was very mellow and sporty for the first hour or so, but around 11 it kinda turned into a club like scene. It gave everyone their second wind.

Amy, Brent and Lindzer

The girls

Oh PB has some moves!

The Colberts! So glad we got to hangout, even if it was the end of our night!

OOPS!

So I let time get away and a whole month has passed since my last post and in baby time that is a life time!!! So much has happened - here is a very brief catch-up on the boys...

McClain must have learned how to speak in sentences over night! I swear he is a genius! Mike and I went to Dallas for OU/TX last weekend and left the boys here with PaPa and Namaw and Katie. Aunt Michelle had to call in due to Alyssa possibly having the piggy flu :( but she is all better now!! Anyways, when we returned McClain was saying 4 and 5 words together - that you can actually understand and fit together!! He is becoming more of a lil boy and not a baby everyday. It is so exciting and fun, but, also, kinda sad :( I love to watch him play these days. He uses his imagination so much and his personality is HUGE!! He literally entertains us, which is usually groups of 4 or more!, for hours. He has found a new love for "pets" aka Wonder Pets. He will watch the same OnDemand episode over and over and over... Ming Ming is by far his favorite and despite her being girl ducky, we may let him be Ming Ming for Halloween! Is that wrong? It is adorable to hear him sing along with the pets and interact with the cartoon. It is also nice to have something, anything, that keeps this busy body boy still!!! I can now OnDemand Pets and have the ability to mess with Max or do something around the house while the Pets distract our Hurricane!!

Max is the same ole Max, but growing more and more each day. I can't believe he is 3 months old. Once again, so fun to watch them grow, but a lil sad too :( I can make this boy grin just by looking at him. I love that huge smile and squinty eyes. He has been to 2 physical therapy appointments, His therapist says he has a very mild case of Torticollis, his left shoulder to neck muscle is tight, but nothing too serious. We have some stretches to do with him, lots of belly time, and just have to be aware of how he lays for long periods of time.

The boys are so fortunate to be loved by so many people! Two weekends ago, while we were in Norman for the Baylor game, Auntie watched both boys for us! They are good lil boys, but two of them together is never easy. We really appreciated the help and loved that the boys got to spend time with family. And I know they loved it too!!!

Grammy and Poppa are cruisin around right now. You would have thought Grammy was going off to war or something. She actually had tears in her eyes just thinking about leaving her grand babies behind for a whole 10 days! haha! Mc has definitely mentioned them, asking "Poppa go?" and "Gammy house?"

Well, I will definitely try to keep posts closer together, but life at the Masters' house is never slow and always busy.

I have added several posts below with pics!!

Love you all,

"Pumpin" Patch!!

After we got back from Dallas we took the boys to the pumkin patch. McClain learned how to say pumpkin on the way there, but it comes out "pumpin". He had a blast and proved, once again, that he is afraid of nothing, even if he says it is "sceery"! Lil Max just chilled in his stroller the whole time bundled up. Next year he will be in the middle of all this, but right now he is content to be pushed around. I have a feeling that we will be making a few more trips to the patch before Halloween once Grammy and Poppa get home!

Mc got in the mix of the pumpkins immediately

He was checking out the ponies. We weren't sure he would want to ride one, but when we asked he replied "I ride it"

And so Mommy went and got a ticket. I was afraid it was a wasted effort when we first put him on the pony when we got this reaction...

But after a few seconds he was a pro.

He rode no-handed most of the time.

We got him to hold on, but Uncle Chris couldn't get him to wave one hand in the air! He did say "giddy up" a few times!

Mike was disappointed in his pony's name.

Here is Max's experience at the patch!

Mc wanted to pick the pumpkins up and move them around, but really ended up throwing any that he could actually lift.

I guess it was hard for him to move through the pile, so he decided to tummy crawl across.

This boy loves animals. He fed everything all by himself. He thought it was hilarious when they licked him.

Max's 2 month appt

I don't my camera handy to upload any pics, but i thought i would give Max's update. Yesterday Max had his 2 month appointment. It is about 2 weeks past his actual 2 month birthday, but since he went so often at the beginning his 1 month was pushed back, thus 2 month was too. So we will probably always be about 2 weeks behind the actual month. Anyways Max was just perfect at the doc office. All the nurses loved him and his chubby cheeks and faux hawk. He weighed in at 12 lb 9 oz (50%), measured 24 1/4 in (90%), and head was also in the 50th percentile. Just for comparison, McClain was 12lb 11.5oz (50%) and 24 in (75%) at his 2 monther. Dr Mayberry said Max looked very strong and healthy, BUT he needs physical therapy!! Well, not really NEED it, but thinks it would help. Max's head tends to lean to his left when relaxed. The dr said that his neck muscles were tight and needed to be stretched to prevent his head becoming misshapen. If his muscles are weak or tight and he continues to lay on one side he could flatten out one side and/or push his skull forward on that side and then have to wear a corrective helmet. She stressed that it was nowhere near this extreme, but we needed to work with him and would suggest some therapy centers that could give exercises and techniques Michael and I could do at home with him. So, my lil Maxer is scheduled for his first physical therapy session next Thursday! Poor lil guy :( He also got his 1 shot that I allow and will get 1 more next time we visit. He screamed his lil head off when he got shot, but was quickly soothed by the bottle I had waiting on him ;) Overall, he is still perfect.

Pics will come soon! sorry!

Mc and Max

Max...isn't he cute?!

Mc and Daddy on the slide

Mc calls it "WEEEEE" and will go down most any slide all by himself, but really prefers to climb up them.

Isn't this just the sweetest Daddy/Son pic ever? They are off to the bball court and swings.

I love this smile!

Cruisin on his Kawasaki

And this is what Bubby Max did the entire time we were at both parks and walking

McClain likes to "hold it" so we make him sit in the chair and rest Max on his lap or nearby pillow

Unfortunately, it usually ends like this. McClain likes to put the paci in and out of Bubby's mouth. Max doesn't quite understand.

So I had to leave my baby boys to cheer on our Sooners in Arlington for the first game vs BYU. Sadly, it didn't go so well, but we had a good time and got to hangout with all our friends.

The Wards brought this cutie, Channing, out to the tailgate for a while. She and McClain are only 2 days apart. I realized that boys and girls are so different after watching Channing play. She was so quiet and listened. She played on a little blanket laid out on the ground. McClain would have been down the road, in the tailgate 3 tents down, eating their food and talking it up to whoever would listen. He is such a busy body! I'm sure they would have played good together and McClain probably could have encouraged a little rough housing! I think we will wait until we have a gated tailgate or a very strong leash before McClain gets to come to a tailgate, although I bet Grammy has a different plan!

ps notice Michael rockin the wife beater in the background. Classy!

It was SOOO hot outside. The ice cream man made a killing off of the grown tailgaters. Amy and Melissa were so proud of their Bugs and Pink Panther pops

Like I said, it was way hot! Melissa and I have been bffs since 5th grade. We can go months without hanging out, but as soon as we do its like we still live next door to each other and have a blast every time. (During the tailgating I proved I knew her better than anyone else, even her hubby, by scoring the highest anyone had scored on her "How well do you know Meilssa" quiz).

Look at how ridiculous that Jumbo is! I had to force myself to watch the game on the field and not on the 60 yard screen. And for some reason I don't have anymore pictures from the game or this weekend....hmmmm

This next series proves how goofy my McClain is. He loves to entertain and laugh. I can't help but to smile every time I look at him. Here he is showing us all his faces...

not even sure what face this is

kind of his goofy and scarwee face mixed

this is part of his serious face, but it looks like a "duh" face

this is just his natural happy face....my favorite

sad face

who knows

thinking of a another face face

serious face again, he is really good at this one

crazy face

I think this is in between making fart noises. Speaking of, when he does this or hears anything that sounds like it, he immediately says "What I do?" haha. Goofy, goofy kid.

haha!

and unfortunately this is a screaming face. notice the food all over his mouth, this is also normal! haha!

Michael was the photographer in all of the above pictures. He was so proud that he caught so many different faces. However, he then tried to do a Max photo shoot. It ended shortly after it started because, "this one only does one face" and the camera was put down. HA! This was true, but since, Max has really started oohing and cooing a lot and those come with big grins. I mean huge grins where both dimples are showing and the eyes disappear. (kinda like his momma!) I have yet to catch this on camera, but I will work on it this week. So here is Daddy's photo shoot of Max:

notice the cute costume...its from Cade

Max has had enough.

So as you can see, our boys are healthy, happy, and oh so cute. I enjoy every minute with them, but they are a hand full. Oh, and did I mention that Max is still sleeping through the night and eats on a perfect 3 hours schedule throughout the day? Don't we just make the most perfect babies ever??!!
